August 2012 Embellishment Challenge

Het heeft eventjes geduurd voordat er weer een kaart uit mijn handen kwam. Ik heb wat privéproblemen die haast al mijn aandacht opslokken, maar af en toe probeer ik de tijd te nemen voor iets creatiefs.

It took a while before I made another card. I've some private issues which takes all my attention, but sometimes I try to take time to do something creative.

Deze keer weer een kerstkaart, voor de August Challenge van

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. De kaart is van kraft, het designpapier is handgeschept stropapier, verder gebruikte ik een chipboard kerstbal, een stukje touw, plakparel en lint. Het sentiment is gestempeld met Stazon Glue en bestrooid met glitters.

the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown blog. I used kraft cardstock, hand-made straw-paper, a chipboard ornament, a piece of rope, a gem and ribbon. I stamped the sentiment with Stazon Glue and sparkled with gold.

I made a little present to take on a trip: a suitcase card with some gum inside.

I used some paper scraps from my stash, masking tape, paper roses,

ribbon and a lucky charm.

Something Old, Something New

Deze keer heb ik een kerst tag gemaakt met als thema: Something Old, Something New.

Het 'nieuwe' staat voor het Pretty Papers Bloc 'Warm Winter Wishes'.

Het 'oude' zijn de letters, het lint en het plaatje. Die zijn alle drie van Eline's Winter Huis (Marianne Design).

Ik wou de tag wat shabby houden, de letters heb ik uit de losse hand getekend en uitgeknipt. Alle randen opgeschuurt en het lint wat gerafeld.

I wanted to keep the tag a little bit shabby, so I draw the letters by hand

and cut them out.I grinded the edges and frayed the ribbon.
